Adaptive
technologies are used to give more personal lessons to learners that may have
disabilities. Some technologies include spelling checkers for those with
dyslexia. I personally haven’t any experiences with such technologies. Some
challenges that may arise from using these technologies, is they could be
distracting to others or foster dependency on the program.
You can
use PowerPoint to support student learning in the cognitive domain by having them
do exercises for memory on different slides. You could utilize the slides like
a series of flashcards. For the Affective domain, you could include elements
that appeal the students like graphics, images, and sounds. PowerPoint can be best
used to teach the psychomotor domain by running exercises that make the
students work collaboratively.
I
visited the site ChipIn at https://www.chipin.com/education-tech-trends-classroom/.
The article covered a range of developing technologies from Artificial
Intelligence to Mind Mapping. The author focused on technologies with figures
and tables that show the expanded role of some of the technologies such as
cloud computing. The article also touched on the utilization of consumer
technology and the roles they could play within a classroom, exemplified by
voice recognition technologies like the Amazon Echo Dot.
