I feel that I’m prepared enough to handle the standards for high schoolers or college. As someone who has recently experienced high school and currently is in high school, I understand the standards and what is expected. K-5 education is foreign to me and I would not be prepared to meet the expectations. The same can be said about Middle School education. I can best develop plans to the standards of these levels at which I fully understand.

I would like to use less technology than the average teacher. I would teach either at the high school or college level. I believe that the student is learning best when they are engaged physically and mentally. For example, having a student walk to the white board to answer questions. I don’t think I will have to address many digital citizenship issues. A course of mine would be rather bare bones. Most assignments would be turned in by hand and perhaps only an essay or two would be turned in online.

During the Newsletter assignment, I learned a plethora of new functions within word. Previously, I hadn’t known much about the design aspect of Microsoft Word, but I learned new ways to decorate documents. I enjoyed working through the different tabs and learning how to spruce up the presentation aspect of my document. I could improve the document by using more decorations or by inserting more visual aids. This assignment may be useful if I work in a school or office environment that necessitates worksheets/newsletters/etc.
